Long-awaited improvements to a portion of the Athletics District were recently completed and replaced beloved but outdated facilities with new stadia for our Division I soccer, baseball, lacrosse and softball programs.
The project included the new 75,000 square foot Rizza Family Performance Center consisting of locker rooms, offices, training space, strength and conditioning equipment, and associated conference and support spaces.
Infrastructure upgrades were also made to support the athletic stadia on two major roadways on campus: Alumni Drive and Jim Calhoun Way. The work was performed for both existing utilities as well as providing necessary new utilities.
