Anthony has more than two decades of experience in senior leadership roles at both public and private institutions of higher education. Most recently, he served as the chief operating officer and, earlier, as the vice president for administration and financial planning at Northeastern University in Boston.

As COO, he led human resources, facilities management, campus planning and real estate and financial planning and budgeting, managing that institution’s $2.7 billion operating budget across a global university system of 14 campuses.

Working in partnership with the president, provost, senior vice president for finance and treasurer, and the deans, he provided strategic and operational guidance on university-wide initiatives including multi-year budgeting, the institutional long-range plan, the capital master plan, campus and new program expansion, information technology, and talent management.

In a previous role as vice president for finance at Northeastern, Anthony co-led the financial functions of the university. He also served as senior vice provost for budget, planning, and administration.

Earlier in his career, Anthony served as the executive director of academic financial affairs in the Office of the Executive Vice Chancellor/Provost at the City University of New York, and as an assistant dean for finance, administration, and planning at New York University.

At UConn, Procurement, Budget and Planning, and Financial Operations and Controller will report to Anthony.

Anthony’s education includes University at Albany, SUNY BA, MPA.  University of Pennsylvania, EdD.

Peggy McCarthy currently serves as the Associate Vice President for Financial Operations & Controller where she oversees Accounting, Tax and Compliance, Financial Reporting, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Treasury Services and Bursar Operations. She has an extensive background in finance and has a Master’s in Business Administration. She has worked at the University of Connecticut for 14 years most recently as the Director of Cash Operations and University Bursar responsible for leading the department and ensuring financial transactions complied with institutional, state and federal requirements and standard accounting procedures. In addition to her work at UConn, she previously held finance positions at Duracell International, UBS Global Asset Management and Bank of America where her portfolio included risk management, corporate treasury operations, and implementation of treasury and credit strategies for public sector banking clients.

Chris currently serves as the Director, Debt Management, where he oversees the University’s UConn 2000 treasury operations, as well as the University’s tax and financial compliance programs.  He is a seasoned finance professional with fourteen years of experience, including a decade of service with the accounting firm EY.  He is an attorney, licensed in the State of Connecticut, and an alum of the University of Connecticut School of Law.

Senior Associate, Debt Management

Evan currently serves as Senior Associate, Debt Management, where he helps support the University’s UConn 2000 treasury operations. He held prior positions in the public finance divisions of Oppenheimer & Co. and William Blair, where he assisted senior bankers in structuring municipal debt and executing bond transactions for issuers across the state of Connecticut.
